I was thrilled when my ol' pals at Muni Diaries asked me to create a new illustration for the masthead of the San Francisco Diaries website as they broaden their focus from stories about public transportation in SF to larger tales of life in the city. The idea was to create something that would incorporate their original bus illustration by Suzanne LaGasa, connecting their old site to their new. I lived in San Francisco for seven years and somehow never drew the robotic monster-ish goodness of Sutro Tower, so it was a blast to right that wrong.
